Digital healthcare platform Trustedoctor has merged with an insurance firm with the aim of providing a new healthcare solution provider.
Further specialises in the design and development of cross-border insurance services for serious illnesses, while Trustedoctor focuses on giving users access to world-leading international medical expertise.
The merged companies will provide a new holistic healthcare insurance solution for the full spectrum of healthcare needs and address accelerating consumer demand for access to specialist healthcare providers, without geographical restrictions.
Greg Jarząbek, CEO of Trustedoctor, said: “This highly strategic merger will create a new market-leader in borderless, complete healthcare solution and provide a unique opportunity for us to collectively grow our network of doctors and hospitals.
“This will ultimately mean that more patients see the benefits of world-leading medical expertise.”
CEO of Further Frank Ahedo added: “Both organisations share the same fundamental principle: a belief that it should be as easy as possible for patients with serious medical conditions to access the best medical specialists and treatment options, wherever they are in the world.
“Together, we will continue to remove financial and logistical hurdles faced by consumers that want to access the very best treatment when faced with a serious illness.”
Ahedo will become the CEO of the Further Group, overseeing the newly merged organisation.
Jarzabek will remain CEO of Trustedoctor and will become the chief digital officer of the Further Group, focusing on further development of virtual healthcare infrastructure.
