The Isokinetic Conference is set to return London for the sixth time in its 30-year history.

Doors will open on Saturday, May 27 for a three-day event to learn about the latest advances in football medicine from the very best practitioners in the world.

The conference is organised in close collaboration with FIFA (International Association Football Federation), so data from the last World Cup Championship will also be presented.

Andrea Tartaglia, Managing Director, Isokinetic London, said:

“I am delighted that the Isokinetic conference returns to London bringing the spotlight of the footballing world to our doorstep.

“We have a very strong presence in London with our Isokinetic Clinic on Harley Street treating large numbers of elite athletes, trauma injuries, supporting football clubs and helping people from all backgrounds.”

The mission of the annual event is to bring together the international Football Medicine Community in a global event where the very latest in sports science and cutting-edge technology is shared, breaking down barriers, sparking lively debates, inspiring conversations, encouraging different perspectives, fueling collaborations, and spreading happiness.

It is an energising, thrilling and immersive experience that stays with its participants long after the venue doors close.

The main topics will be video analysis, robotic surgery regenerative medicine, biomechanics, nutrition, neuroscience and all technologies related to return to sport.

For the first time ever, the conference will feature the British Football Sessions.

Scientific publications about Football health and performance are increasing exponentially, but one thing is the theoretical framework and the other is its practical application on the complex professional football environment.

Tartaglia added:

“Our philosophy is guided by medicine, every patient sees a doctor first who guides their treatment.

“We believe in prevention and using technology to makes changes to load, stance and style in advance to minimise injury risk during activity.

“This grounding in science and medicine is crucial to our process and we are extremely excited that we are bringing the world’s very best to London.”

The Isokinetic London team includes former Real Madrid Medical Director, Dr Jesus Olmo and former Brentford FC Club Doctor, Dr Matthew Stride.

Dr Chris Jones is a former Charlton Athletic doctor whose patients at Isokinetic now encompass many international patients and international athletes based in the UK, and Dr Alberto Scavone, former team doctor at Italian team, FC Modena.
