
The MIXiii Health-Tech.IL Annual Conference united global health leaders and Israeli innovators – to advance the impact of health tech all over the world…
The conference attracted more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries, including reps from Google, AstraZeneca, Amgen, Amazon, Teva, McKinsey, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Sheba Medical Center, government officials and Israeli innovators.
Discussions focused on recent industry developments and working together to create a more integrated, efficient and impactful health ecosystem.
Attendees also discussed how to improve the synergy between bio-technology, engineering and computerized systems to create a more integrated ecosystem. MIXiii stands for the mix of health and tech, combined with Israel, international and innovation.

Record high exports for life science
It also emerged that Life science industry exports in Israel last year were $5.2 million, a record high since 2017.
Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), the Jewish state’s umbrella organisation for high-tech industries, hosted the MIXiii Health-Tech.IL conference in Jerusalem at the start of November (2022).

Ambassador Nides, in line with White House priorities, welcomes continued cooperation and growth in the life science industry.
Cross-sector innovation signifies both the importance of interwoven dialogue and multilateral collaboration key to future advancements.
Conference topics included innovation in hospitals, bio-convergence and the next generation of health tech solutions. It also included hospitals at home, ophthalmology tech advances, new horizons in neuroscience, and the future of cancer treatment.
The event also featured a Startup Pavilion led by the Israeli Innovation Authority for entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations to international decision makers.

Appetite for “further growth”
Karin Mayer Rubinstein, CEO & president of Israel Advanced Technology Industries, said: “In recent years, the life science and health technology industries have become major engines of growth for the Israeli economy.
“The MIXiii Health-Tech.IL conference this week has demonstrated this success as well as the appetite for further growth.
“Our latest research highlights the need for further support and investment so that Israeli companies can continue creating significant social impact.”
According to IATI’s new research, unveiled at the conference, there were over 1,800 life science companies active in Israel in 2021.
The industry has continued to grow steadily with 1,500 life science companies established in Israel over the past decade.
The report also revealed that exports from the life science industry in 2021 were worth 5.2 million dollars, a record level since 2017.
Israel “leading many promising developments”
Dror Bin, CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority said: “Through its hundreds of life sciences companies, unparalleled expertise in health technology and some of the world’s leading universities and medical centres, Israel is leading many promising developments in bio-convergence and healthcare.”
“We believe that leveraging the Start-Up Nation’s advantages will help sustain Israel’s leading position as a global health innovation hub. This will also ensure that sector growth continues to benefit the local economy.”
The conference hosted a startup competition run by the Israel Innovation Authority and eHealth Ventures, for digital health companies seeking pre-seed/seed funding.
Five startups were named winners out of more than 200 contenders. The winning startups were:
- Identifai innovating in prenatal diagnostics
- EyeContact screening for autism
- ToDx creating mobile pathogen diagnostics
- NeuroHelp providing early prediction of epilepsy
- Remepy digitising drugs for pharma
Each startup will receive a Term Sheet for investment and a 10-hour consulting package with leading health tech companies.
