Four inspirational leaders shortlisted Health Tech World award

Four inspirational leaders have been shortlisted for a Health Tech World award.

The four submissions for the Health Tech Leader of the Year award, sponsored by Reddie and Grose, will soon be assessed by the category judge to decide on the overall winner.

The second annual Health Tech World Awards attracted more than 130 entries from across the UK, US, Europe and beyond.

The shortlist for Young Health Tech Leader of the Year will be announced next week.

Congratulations to the Health Tech Leader of the Year 2024 Shortlist:

Millicent Alooh

Millicent Alooh HSC is a Biomedical Engineer currently working as the Regional Director of BMET implementation for NEST360, an International alliance united to end preventable newborn death in African hospitals.

She also serves as the Hon Secretary General for the Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya, AMEK, and a Member of the Global Clinical Engineering Alliance, GCEA.

She is also a strategic advisory member of medical devices at WHO, and a medical devices policy review committee member at the Kenya Bureau of Standards, KEBS.

Pradeep Goel, CEO, Solve.Care Foundation

Solve.Care’s founder and CEO Pradeep Goel is passionate about revolutionising healthcare.

After experiencing first-hand how difficult and costly healthcare was for his son, this personal experience galvanized his dedication to making health services accessible and efficient.

Pradeep’s journey embodies Solve.Care’s mission of providing access to proper and streamlined healthcare to everyone regardless of geographic limitations.

Zen Koh, Global CEO, Fourier Intelligence

With over 20 years of experience in the rehabilitation technology industry, Zen Koh has led Fourier Intelligence in successfully launching the award-winning ArmMotus EMU, a 3D Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot which has clinched multiple accolades such as the IERA 2023 Awards, IF Design Awards 2022, Medical Design Excellence Awards, Good Design Award 2022, and Red Dot Winner 2022.

Understanding the challenges faced by therapists and patients around the globe, the device aims to empower both patients and therapists through robotics-assisted therapy.

Muxin Ma, COO, Pontosense

As the Chief Operations Officer at Pontosense Inc., Muxin plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and direction of their core product, Wireless Intelligent Sensing, across the mobility and AgeTech sectors.

Muxin’s leadership was instrumental in driving the successful commercialization and mass production of Pontosense’s Wireless Intelligent Sensing mobility solution.

Muxin is driving its adoption in the AgeTech space under a standalone product, Silver Shield. This solution offers advanced fall detection, presence detection, motion tracking, and more, catering to the needs of the ageing population.
