A digital health clinic offering services and products to men has taken over a Swedish health tech firm.
Numan has taken over Vi Health as part of plans to offer more digital conversations to male patients, including diagnosing prescription medicines.
The digital clinic allows patients to talk to clinicians, obtain a diagnosis and access to health products including pharmaceuticals.
Vi Health’s platform is registered as a Class I medical device and includes an AI-powered symptom checker, advanced e-consultation tools (such as collaborative chat, voice and video consultations), and workflow automation tools.
The technology runs Numan’s Clinic OS and the Vi Health team will join Numan at its offices in Malmo and Stockholm in Sweden.
Numan covers a range of conditions using a therapeutic model, which combines prescription medication and proprietary OTC products, pathology and screening, along with doctor consultations.
In the last two years, it has recruited over 300,000 patients to use its technology and engaged in 1.4 million digital consultations
Sokratis Papafloratos, founder of Numan, said, “Vi-health is an exceptional company and was the perfect fit for us in terms of vision, IP and skills.
“We want Numan to be your first step on a journey to better health and wellbeing, and Vi Health’s technology and IP help us get there faster.
“More importantly, the team was a big driver behind our decision to make the acquisition. It’s a group of people full of talent, deep expertise, and a passion about changing healthcare for the better, on a global scale. We’re all very excited to be working together.”
