Derbyshire NHS selects Psyomics’ beseen platform to support Community Mental Health transformation

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has partnered with digital mental health company Psyomics to introduce a new digital platform designed to support improved access by reducing pressure on clinicians, whilst integrating seamlessly with the Trusts clinical systems.

The Trust has procured Psyomics’ beseen Adult platform to support clinical and administrative efficiency within its Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs).

The technology forms part of the Trust’s wider CMHT transformation programme, aimed at improving system flow, strengthening patient involvement in the early stages of care, and enabling clinicians to spend more time supporting patients.

Developed with clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and researchers at the University of Cambridge, the system captures patient-reported information – including symptoms as well as social and personal circumstances – providing clinicians with a more holistic understanding of each individual’s needs before the first appointment.

The beseen platform reduces administrative workload and supports NHS England’s the key metric of clinical productivity.

Routine tasks like sending out validated measures in the post, scoring and uploading the responses – are all automated into the medical record and are presented alongside other accessible information that can support clinical formulation.

All in a way that brings standardisation and provides more time for the patient to consider how they answer the questions.

Psyomics continually evolves its offerings by working hand in hand with NHS and private partners to ensure information is gathered from service users outside of appointment time at exactly the right time to help save the NHS time.

This saving can help reduce waiting times and support clinicians having more time to care.

Dr Melinda Rees, chief executive at Psyomics, said: “We are delighted to be working with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to make mental health services more accessible, efficient and patient-centred.

“By combining clinical expertise with technology, we can help modernise NHS mental health pathways and improve both patient experience and clinical efficiency.”
