Sleep Cycle app now available in ChatGPT in sleep category first

Sleep Cycle has become the first application in the sleep category available through OpenAI’s platform.

The launch marks an initial step in how Sleep Cycle can distribute its services via AI-based platforms, beyond its own app.

Sleep Aid consists of carefully designed audio experiences that help users unwind and fall asleep, including guided relaxation, calming soundscapes, nature-inspired audio and narrated content.

The feature builds on the company’s long-standing expertise in sleep and sound analysis and is designed to make it easier to unwind and fall asleep.

Erik Jivmark, CEO of Sleep Cycle, said: “AI is an integral part of how we develop and distribute our products.

“The Sleep Cycle app in ChatGPT is a natural step in our strategy to make sleep health more accessible, in the environments where users already are.”

Sleep Cycle in ChatGPT supports one of the most common sleep challenges – difficulty falling asleep.

When a user in ChatGPT expresses trouble falling asleep, the platform can suggest Sleep Cycle’s Sleep Aid, with audio played directly within the chat flow to help the user unwind.

The launch positions Sleep Cycle at an early stage within an emerging distribution channel, where AI-based interfaces are increasingly becoming the entry point for digital services.

The company believes that this type of integration over time can contribute to user growth, increased reach and new partnership opportunities.

Jivmark said: “We see AI platforms as a new distribution channel for digital health.

“Being first in our category strengthens our position and allows us to reach new users at an early stage.

“Over time, we see potential to expand the integration to additional features and use cases.”

The launch is in line with Sleep Cycle’s strategy to evolve from a consumer app into a broader sleep technology platform.

By combining a scalable consumer business with new distribution channels and gradually expanding into more advanced and higher-value use cases, the company strengthens its long-term position in digital sleep health.
