Devon County Council partners with System C to enhance social care services

Devon County Council has partnered with System C to deliver a major upgrade to its social care services, promising improved access and support for the county’s 800,000 residents.

Through the adoption of System C’s advanced Liquidlogic Adults Case Management and Liquidlogic Children’s Case Management solutions, this strategic collaboration aims to create a more efficient and responsive social care system, empowering individuals and enhancing community wellbeing.

After over 20 years with its legacy provider, the progression to System C’s case management solutions five year contract will streamline Devon County Council’s services, improve workflows, and increase time efficiency, aligning with the council’s vision for promoting independence and delivering high-quality care.

For residents this will provide a dedicated public facing portal. This online platform will allow them to securely manage their accounts, update personal information, track the progress of their service requests and access key resources – all from a single, simple login.

This enhanced self-service capability is expected to significantly reduce administrative burdens and increase accessibility to crucial care information.

The implementation of System C’s software is expected to take approximately 18 months, with the goal of having the new systems fully operational by early 2027.

Amrik Johal, Managing Director of Social Care at System C, said: “Our social care suite will transform social care in Devon, not only for residents, but for council employees too, by streamlining services, improving workflows, and increasing time efficiency.

“Joining up digital services wherever possible is essential and with this latest agreement we’ll be able to provide the council with a fully rounded system, allowing their teams to work digitally in a forward thinking and progressive way.”
