Signos has raised US$20m to expand its glucose tracking platform for weight management as demand grows for weight loss tools.
The company has also announced a distribution deal that will make its subscription plans available through Dexcom’s direct-to-consumer website, Stelo.com.
Founded in 2018, Signos created an AI-powered glucose monitoring platform for weight management and became the first in its category to receive US Food and Drug Administration clearance in 2025.
The system uses a Dexcom biosensor to track glucose levels and analyses data linked to eating, rest and stress.
It then gives users personalised advice intended to help them build healthier habits.
The company plans to use the new funding to build predictive AI features.
These include a meal-scoring tool that would use a person’s own history to estimate the likely glucose impact of a meal before they eat.
Jon Coleman, chief commercial officer at Dexcom, said: “Signos has developed a system that translates glucose biosensing data into actionable insights for people focused on weight management.
“Making Signos available on Stelo.com is a natural next step.”
Signos is built to serve two groups of users: people already taking GLP-1 medicines who want more metabolic insight, and those pursuing weight loss without pharmaceutical treatment.
GLP-1 medicines are drugs that mimic a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar control. They are used in some patients for diabetes and weight management.
Signos also said revenue and user numbers had grown tenfold over the previous six months, although it did not disclose figures.
The company said tens of thousands of users have taken part in clinical studies.
The US$20m round was backed by GV, Dexcom and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama invested through its 450 Ventures vehicle.
The company said the investment reflects growing interest among health insurers in metabolic health tools as GLP-1 drug costs put pressure on payer budgets.
Signos did not disclose its valuation following the round.
