Visiba Care appoints Dr Annabelle Painter as Medical Director

Virtual care company Visiba Care has appointed Dr Annabelle Painter as its new Medical Director.
The NHS doctor and digital health advisor studied Medicine at Oxford Medical School and has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Painter is an active advisor in the digital health space with a focus on AI and hosts a podcast for the Royal Society of Medicine.
She is also a member of the Digital Health Council, and has helped launch many AI tools into the UK health sector.
The new medical director continues to work as a doctor in the NHS.
Visiba Care’s Chief Commercial Officer, Fredrik Roxhage, said:
“We are extremely excited to have Dr Painter on board at Visiba Care.
“Her pedigree is second to none and she will be invaluable as we look to support more healthcare providers in the UK utiilise our AI and digital tools to the benefit of patients.
“Ever since we formed in 2014, we have believed that digital tools will pave the way for better patient / doctor interactions and we are starting to see the reality of this now.
“In the UK, some GPs will struggle to meet the requirements around patient access stipulated in the new GP contract.
“Digital solutions and in particular AI-enabled triage can help and we look forward to being involved.”
Visiba Care digital platforms are used by many healthcare providers, from medium-sized private clinics to sizeable public healthcare organisations.
The company is currently working with health providers in a number of regions and aims to grow quickly across the rest of the UK.
