Digital healthcare solutions provider Doctrin has made two strategic hires to match the company’s ambitions to expand.
In October, Doctrin went live with its first UK customer, Lakeside Healthcare, and earlier this year the company also expanded its operations in Norway.
To match the company’s plans for expansion, Doctrin has appointed Jesper Eriksson as chief financial officer and Michael Ekelund as chief commercial officer.
Anna-Karin Edstedt Bonamy, CEO of Doctrin, said: “We are of course happy to have managed to attract two talents with such a long, broad and for us relevant experience from the industry.
“It feels very good to have both Jesper and Michael on board as we continue to expand our business.”
Jesper Eriksson, newly appointed CFO at Doctrin, has more than 10 years of experience in tech and digital marketplaces, most recently as CFO of the health tech company Lifesum.
Prior to that, he held various financial positions within the Schibsted / Adevinta Group in Stockholm, Oslo and Barcelona. Jesper will have overall financial responsibility and work closely with the CEO and the Board, contributing to the delivery of Doctrin’s growth strategy.
Jesper Eriksson, CFO at Doctrin, said: “I am very impressed with what the team at Doctrin has created so far. It is an incredible company where everyone works towards a clear common goal and everyone shares the same healthy values.
“I feel both humbled and exhilarated about the task of taking the company to the next phase together with the rest of the team at Doctrin by building processes and organization for an international growth company that will radically improve healthcare.”
Michael Ekelund, new chief commercial officer at Doctrin, has more than 20 years of international experience in sales, sales management and business development.
He has experience working with B2B-companies, SaaS and healthcare clients and has previously held several leading international positions at Visual Conference Group, Interoute and most recently as Director Healthcare Solutions at Office Management.
Michael Ekelund, CCO at Doctrin said: “One of the things I get excited about with Doctrin is the values that drive the company and are leading all decisions when it comes to the business and development.
“Everything I believe in and stand for as a person permeates Doctrin, so it is with incredible pride that I take on the role of spreading availability and changes in care that really creates value for both caregivers, care staff and people who need to seek care, all over the world”.
