Maternova appoints Luna Mehrain, MD, MSc, as CMO

Global health solutions company Maternova, Inc. has announced the appointment of Luna M. Mehrain, MD, MSc, as Chief Medical Officer.
The obstetrician, gynaecologist and strategic leader in reproductive, maternal and neonatal health, will assess the efficacy, safety and usability of Maternova’s diagnostics and therapeutic medical innovations.
Dr Mehrain will also be responsible for training the team as well as Maternova’s partners on clinical bundles in line with international guidelines.

“She is a passionate clinician with a proven track record of championing health care for women and babies in resource-limited settings.
“Her experience with prominent international organisations and expert medical knowledge make her an ideal addition to Maternova as we grow our life-saving product and technology offerings for health practitioners around the world.”
Dr. Mehrain has more than 20 year of experience as a physician and medical advisor, having held clinical positions in Germany, India, Ethiopia, Pakistan and Sierra Leone, alongside an internship in New York.
Her CV includes positions with the likes of Médecins Sans Frontières, Merlin, DAI, Population Services International (PSI) and the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
